Hey! Mister Santa!

Another Christmas Song... On time for a change. Archie Batty plays his trumpet for this one. Lyrics: Hey Mister Santa Please go riding on your sleigh It’s been tough this year for everyone, come Brighten up our day Hey Mister Santa Do the things you can to put a Smile on each and every face Across the whole human race I was sat here drinking through the whole Christmas eve, and then Hey! Ho! There you were below Thought you’d save the day, but you turned around to leave I said Hey! Ho! It’s not time to go. The people have been waiting for a miracle to come We’re not asking for a saviour just a little bit of fun Won’t you stay because I’m lonely can’t you see My christmas has hidden from me Santa stayed for dinner and we talked through the night singing Hey! Ho! One more drink to go He told me he was struggling to get Christmas right, I said Hey! Ho! Don’t you ever let go Apparently there’s no one in the world that wants to dance He’s been out there playing music up from Canada to France I heard the streets are cold and empty, dark and dim Cus Christmas has hidden from him Hey Mister Santa Please go riding on your sleigh It’s been tough this year for everyone, come Brighten up our day Hey Mister Santa Do the things you can to put a Smile on each and every face Across the whole human race So he left to visit every girl and every boy singing Hey! Ho! I’ve got gifts in tow People were elated with their hearts full of joy singing Hey! Ho! We love Santa so We haven’t had the best of times of late, and want to say That the man in red has saved our sacred Winter holiday He brings more than just the presents on his sleigh He brings with him Christmas today Hey Mister Santa Please go riding on your sleigh It’s been tough this year for everyone, come Brighten up our day Hey Mister Santa Won’t you be the man to put a Smile on each and every face Across the whole human race
