from Hebraic Heritage Radio Podcasts · host Eddie Chumney
And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee. nd I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God. Genesis 17:7-8 We need to understand the historical events in Israel during the first century because those events affected the modern history of Israel. When Israel was founded in May 1948, it was built by secular Jews. The religious Jews were not interested in helping to establish a Jewish state because they believed it could only be done by the Messiah. This teaching explains the major people, issues and events which shape the modern nation of Israel. In this session, Eddie covers the roles of Theodor Herzl, who cast the vision for a Jewish state in the 1890s.
