HHMI ~ Exile & Redemption from the Prophets ~ Pt 1 ~ Events of First Exodus Foreshadow Final Exodus

We begin with going over the Torah principle that biblical history is prophecy. The events that happened to our forefathers foreshadow and prophecy to the events that will be repeated in the lives of their descendants (us). The first exodus is a prophetic blueprint and template for the FINAL exodus and ingathering of the exiles of Israel. Then, we look at the cycle of exile and redemption: *it begins by breaking the covenant at Mt Sinai and for not following the Torah. *the punishment for not following Torah is exile to the nations. *Israel experiences bondage by their captors which brings about a yearning for repentance. *Repentance brings about redemption. *It’s the Messiah who will gather the exiles of Israel and brings them back to Israel. *The future redemption is like the historical Egyptian redemption. *The ingathering of the exiles is associated with the judgment of the nations and the fall of the end of days daughter of Babylon nation during the tribulation period (Jacob’s trouble).
