There was a marriage at Mt Sinai. The 10 Commandments that Moses brought down from the mountain was the “ketubah”. The wedding proposal was made to the house of Jacob: And Moses went up unto God, and the LORD called unto him out of the mountain, saying, Thus shalt thou say to the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel. Exodus 19:3 Here is the wedding proposal: Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine. Exodus 19:5 But the people were unfaithful and they worshipped the golden calf. Yeshua renews the covenant by dying on the tree and He provides a way for people to get a heart transplant: from having a “heart of stone” to a “heart of flesh” as we are told in Jeremiah 31:31-33.
