But if the Spirit of him that raised up Yeshua from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwells in you. Romans 8:13 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. Romans 6:4 Paul is teaching us that our fleshly carnal nature is buried with Yeshua, and that our spirit is raised up in newness of life, and that spirit is what leads us to follow the Torah of Yeshua. Our body is dead to sin, but in Yeshua, by His spirit, we are to live a righteous life. But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. Romans 6:22 What is holiness? Following the Torah! According to the “works of the law”? NO! According to our own flesh? NO! With a circumcised heart and the leading of the indwelling Holy Spirit! Paul goes on to say: Walk in the spirit and you will not satisfy the desires of the flesh. Gal 5:16 Walk is a Hebrew idiom for “following the Torah”. How do we walk in the spirit?
