For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. For every one that uses milk is unskilfull in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. But strong meat belongs to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. Hebrews 5: 12-14 We are to grow from being a “babe” in Messiah and become mature, whole, complete, in fullness. The goal of a disciple of Yeshua is to become part of the bride, where she will dwell with Yeshua forever in the New Jerusalem. The goal of the disciple then, is to grow into spiritual maturity so that the disciple will be able to enter into the second stage of the marriage, where you “dwell with” Yeshua forever in the New Jerusalem. Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. Matthew 5:48 When we see the word “perfect”, we may think it means that we never make a mistake. The word, in greek, is teleios, and it means, “brought to an end, finished, completeness, fullness, maturity.” In the process of growing into spiritual maturity, we will experience what Yeshua experienced. We will be persecuted. We will be despised and rejected of men. We will be falsely accused and misunderstood. This is part of the process in growing into spiritual maturity.
