HHMI ~ Messianic Passover Seder ~ Pt 3 ~ The 15 Steps in a Passover Seder

There are 15 steps to the Passover Seder dinner. As you go through each of these steps you are to see yourself as though you are climbing a spiritual ladder, ascending into the throne room of the God of Israel. Step 5 is the Maggid (telling the story) The Maggid is the telling of the Exodus narrative. It’s now that the youngest child at the table asks the four questions (every haggadah lists them). The four questions include: *On other nights, we eat leavened bread, so why, on this night, do we eat only unleavened bread? *On other nights, we can eat any kind of vegetable, so why, on this night, do we eat only maror (bitter herbs)? *On other nights, we are not required to dip even once, so why, on this night, do we dip twice? *On other nights, we eat sitting or reclining, so why, on this night, do we only recline? It is the answer to these questions that the Passover events and story are told to the rest of the family. Next begins the telling of the Passover events and it starts with an explanation that a covenant was made with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Then the story unfolds of how the children of Israel went down to Egypt, and were afflicted. Then the God of Israel brings forth his people OUT of Egypt after 10 plagues. The plagues include: river into blood, frogs, lice, flies, pestilence, boils, hail, locusts, darkness, death of the firstborn. The steps we go through in the Passover meal PRIOR to eating the meal teaches us about the FIRST coming of Yeshua. The steps that we go through in the Seder AFTER the eating of the meal teaches us about the SECOND coming of Yeshua.
