Yeshua died on the tree to atone for the sins of mankind. For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Yeshua HaMashiach. Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. Romans 5:17-19 Salvation and redemption has always been for an entire household: And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house. Acts 16: 30-32 There is a progressive revelation of the lamb of God. The lamb is not only redemption and salvation for us personally, for a household, but the lamb is also redemption and salvation for a nation (redeemed Israel) and for the whole world: The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! John 1:29 Deliverance came when the people put the blood of the lamb on their doorposts. They did this in faith. Yahweh in His mercy, heard their cry, saw their affliction, bondage and oppression, and then raised up a “deliverer”, Moses, to bring them out of Egypt. This is a picture of salvation. We are saved by faith through grace, when we trust in Yeshua and the shedding of His blood on the tree. Moses was the “first deliverer”, Yeshua is the “last and greatest deliverer.” Passover is the START of the spiritual journey, not the END of it. The next place we go in our spiritual journey is Mt Sinai, where we receive the Torah.
