And thus shall ye eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste: it is the LORD'S Passover. Exodus 12: 11 The Passover lamb is to be eaten with our loins girded. What is the spiritual meaning and application of this? Our loins are to be girded with truth. Therefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; Ephesians 6:13-14 The Passover lamb is to be eaten with your shoes on your feet. What is the spiritual meaning and application of this? The shoes on our feet represents messengers who preach, who proclaim the good news of the gospel. How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that brings good tidings, that publishes peace; that brings good tidings of good, that publishes salvation; that says unto Zion, Thy God reigns! Isaiah 52:7 The Passover lamb is to be eaten with our staff in our hand. What is the spiritual meaning and application of that? It is a picture that eating the Passover lamb, consuming Yeshua and His Torah, gives us the authority to rule and reign with him on the earth. Passover is remembering the death of Yeshua our Messiah on the tree. And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me. Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you. Luke 22:19-20 Passover is to be forever memorialized and remembered. During the Passover meal, there is to be an explanation of its meaning. Yeshua gave an explanation while he took the Passover meal with His disciples.
