We cannot trust in our own righteousness or our own good deeds for our salvation. We are to receive Yeshua as our righteousness. We must trust in Yeshua as Messiah and in His shed blood to receive his salvation. We are saved by faith through grace. For he has made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. 2 Cor 5:21 When we receive Yeshua as our Messiah we are entering into a marriage covenant that is based upon blood covenant. As part of this covenant, there is an exchange of garments. We exchange our sin for Yeshua’s robe of righteousness. Paul taught that Yeshua is our righteousness in Romans 3:22: Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference. This principle is repeated in Isaiah 61:10: I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation, he has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. Our righteousness does not come from our works or our deeds. It comes from faith in Yeshua as Messiah.
