HHMI - Romans ~ Pt 2 ~ What the Torah Teaches About Righteousness

from Hebraic Heritage Radio Podcasts · host Eddie Chumney

The righteousness of God is believing His covenant promises to us. We see this faith working in Abraham: He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform. And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness. Romans 4:20-22 Righteousness is having faith or TRUSTING in the LORD: Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the LORD. Psalm 4:5 We are to trust in the LORD’s righteousness: In thee, O LORD, do I put my trust: let me never be put to confusion. Deliver me in thy righteousness, and cause me to escape: incline your ear unto me, and save me. Psalm 71: 1-2 Behold, the days come, says the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth. In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS. Jeremiah 23:5-6 When we believe on and receive Yeshua as our Messiah, there is a covenant exchange that is made. Yeshua gets our sins, and we receive HIS righteousness: For he has made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. 2 Cor 5:21 For more of Eddie Chumney teachings and to listen to beautiful Messianic worship music, visit us at our internet streaming radio station, http://www.hebrootsradio.com/.
