HHMI - Romans ~ Pt 6 ~ Circumcision in the flesh v/s Circumcision in the heart

In this session, we will look at what Paul is explaining to us in Romans 2. Paul is comparing two groups of people: *Those who are non Jews, who are NOT circumcised in flesh, but who DO follow the Torah because they are circumcised in their heart v/s *Those are Jews, who are circumcised in the flesh, but who DONT following the Torah because they are NOT circumcised in their heart. We are to follow the Torah with a circumcised heart. The Torah requires that we have a circumcised heart: And now, Israel, what doth the LORD thy God require of thee, but to fear the LORD thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the LORD thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul… Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiffnecked. Deut 10: 12, 16 Both the Torah and the Prophets call for the people of Israel to be circumcised in their hearts: Circumcise yourselves to the LORD, and take away the foreskins of your heart, ye men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem: lest my fury come forth like fire, and burn that none can quench it, because of the evil of your doings. Jeremiah 4:4 A circumcised heart loves the God of Israel and seeks to follow His Torah. And the LORD your God will circumcise your heart, and the heart of your seed, to love the LORD your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, that you may live. Deut 30:6 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.
