HHMI ~ The End Time Battle Between Jacob and Esau ~ Pt 1 ~ Back to the Beginning of the Conflict

In this teaching series, we are going to take a look at the end time battle between Jacob and Esau. The bible refers to this end time conflict between Jacob and Esau as “Jacob’s trouble”. The reason for the tribulation is that there is a conflict between Jacob and Esau that draws the entire world into this conflict. In order to understand this conflict we must first understand a very important Torah principle: that biblical history is prophecy. The end of days has already been told by the God of Israel “in the beginning.” We can see this principle illustrated in Isaiah 46: 9-10: Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure. Therefore if we want to understand the “end of days” battle between Jacob and Esau then we must understand their conflict “in the beginning”. The things that happened to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob are prophesies about what will happen to their descendants. The term, “Jacob’s trouble” comes from the time when Jacob was seeking to be reconciled with Esau, but Esau came with evil intent. This term, “Jacob’s trouble” is a term for a conflict between Jacob and Esau in the end of days.
