HHMI ~ The Passover in John 6 ~ Pt 3 ~ The Lesser Moses and the Greater Moses

The Jewish rabbis teach that the Messiah is likened unto a “Greater Moses”. Messiah will do even greater things than what Moses did. Historically, Moses showed dominion over the sea. And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the LORD caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided. Exodus 14:21 The sea is the dominion of Pharoah. Moses had dominion over the sea= domain of Pharoah. The horse and the rider were cast into the sea! Yeshua has dominion over the sea = domain of Pharoah. Son of man, set thy face against Pharaoh king of Egypt, and prophesy against him, and against all Egypt: peak, and say, Thus says the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, Pharaoh king of Egypt, the great dragon that lies in the midst of his rivers, which hath said, My river is mine own, and I have made it for myself. Ezekiel 29:2-3 Historically, the God of Israel sent manna to feed the children of Israel in the wilderness. This was a type, a shadow, and a prophecy that the “true bread from heaven”, Yeshua, would one day come: Then Yeshua said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father gives you the true bread from heaven. For the bread of God is he which comes down from heaven, and gives life unto the world. John 6: 32-33 And Yeshua said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that comes to me shall never hunger; and he that believes on me shall never thirst.
