In this session, Eddie shares from leading Jewish sources more about the history of the kingdom split between Northern and Southern kingdom. He also shares from classical Jewish Torah scholars what they wrote and believed about the future ingathering of the Ten tribes. The Northern kingdom was taken into captivity by Assyria beginning in 721 bc, while the Southern kingdom was taken into captivity to Babylon in 586 bc. Seventy years later, a remnant from the Southern kingdom of Judah returned to Jerusalem to rebuild the Temple. Meanwhile the Northern kingdom was assimilated into the nations of the world and has never returned to Israel.
