HHMI ~ Yeshua From Gen to Rev ~ Pt 11 ~ Biblical Terms for the Exiles of Israel
from Hebraic Heritage Radio Podcasts · host Eddie Chumney
Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. Then shall the lame man leap as a hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert. Isaiah 35: 6-7,10 Yeshua answered and said unto them, Go and show John again those things which ye do hear and see. The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them. Matthew 11:4-5 Although Yeshua literally healed the blind, the deaf, the leper, the sick and the poor, he was also speaking to John at a deeper sod level. These are also terms to describe the exiles of Israel. How do we know this? Isaiah 35, verse 6 and 7 is talking aobut the blind, the deaf, and the lame. That is the subject. Now read Isaiah 35:10: And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away. This is describing the INGATHERING of the exiles of Israel, and they are returning to Zion, (which is Jerusalem). Yeshua came to gather and unite the 12 tribes of Israel. He lays down His life to gather the scattered sheep and to make the two sheepfolds (Judah and Ephraim) into ONE sheepfold.
