A central theme of the New Testament is the role of the Messiah to gather the exiles of Israel and a detailed explanation for how it is going to happen. Ultimately, the 12 tribes of Israel are going to be physically gathered from the nations where they have been scattered during the time known as Jacob’s trouble. The book of Revelation gives us details of the things that will be happening in the world when the 12 tribes are gathered from the nations. That will be the focus of this session. In the end of days, the nations will divide the land of Israel and the city of Jerusalem. This will be accomplished through the creation of a Palestinian state. This will lead to the judgment of the nations. The issue regarding who owns the land of Israel, the bible calls this the “controversy of Zion”. This controversy of Zion is related to the judgment of the nations. For the indignation of the LORD is against all nations,And His fury against all their armies; He has utterly destroyed them, He has given them over to the slaughter. For it is the day of the LORD’s vengeance, The year of recompense for the controversy of Zion. Isaiah 34:8 What triggers the Lord’s vengeance against the nations? It is the dividing of the land of Israel and the dividing of Jerusalem.
