Let’s summarize the list of penalties that happen to the adulterous woman: *She will drink bitter waters *She will be slain with the sword *Her curses are written in a book and blotted out *She is forsaken by her husband *Her husband hides his face from her *She is slain with thirst *She is stripped naked *She is laughed to scorn *She is mocked for the way she commits whoredom *Her enemies cast lots for her We saw in the last session that Yeshua took upon Himself these same penalties and curses when He died on the tree. Why would He do this? Because He is married to the house of Jacob, to His bride. They are ONE, they are ECHAD. So what happens to her, happens to Him. Because He loved her so much, He took all the penalty that was due to her and He took it upon Himself so that she could be a redeemed bride and their marriage covenant could be renewed.
