HHMI ~ Yeshua's Life and Ministry ~ Pt 2 ~ Yeshua a Faithful Son over the House of Israel

In this session, we learn more about the life of Messiah Yeshua. His parents followed the Torah and had him circumcised on the 8th day according to Torah instructions (Leviticus 12). He was born in Bethlehem and Bethlehem means “house of bread”. Yeshua is the “bread of life”, Torah is our living bread and Yeshua is the living Torah and the living bread. Yeshua was found at the age of 12 at the temple dialoguing with the rabbis about Torah: And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions. And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers. Luke 2:46-47 By profession, Yeshua was a carpenter. Carpenters build houses. This was prophetic of what Yeshua is going to do spiritually: build up the house of Israel. He was a faithful firstborn so over his own house. Likewise we have a calling and a task to be called a faithful firstborn son over the house of the God of Israel. Yeshua begins his public ministry at the age of 30. Why at this age?
