Hidden in Plain Sight
from The Sportsman's Light · host Patrick
The longer a man spends outdoors, the more he sees what others walk past. The faint rub line, the single wilted leaf over a scrape, the nervous mullet that betray the redfish below — the woods and water are full of messages hidden in plain sight, legible to anyone who learns to read.Paul says creation itself is that kind of message. God's invisible qualities — His eternal power, His divine nature — are on open display in what He made, clearly seen by anyone paying attention. Every sunrise over decoys, every thunderhead stacking over the flats, every impossibly engineered wing and fin and eye: signature after signature of the Creator. The outdoorsman has a front-row seat that most of the world never takes. Don't waste it. Let the creation you love turn your attention to the Creator behind it. The evidence isn't hidden. It's hidden in plain sight — waiting for eyes trained to read the sign.Prayer:Father, Your power and nature are written across everything You made — and I've walked past the sign too many times without reading it.Train my eyes. Every time I'm in Your creation, turn my wonder into worship of the One who made it all. Amen.Challenge:On your next time outdoors, practice 'reading the sign' of the Creator: find five specific things in creation that display God's power or care, and thank Him out loud for each one, right there.
