Hieromartyr Polychronius of Babylon and Companions

Today we remember Hieromartyr Polychronius, Bishop of Babylon, and the faithful martyrs who suffered with him under Emperor Decius in the third century. Their steadfast faith in Christ led them through imprisonment, torture, and death rather than renouncing their belief. Among those commemorated are the presbyters Parmenius, Helimenas, and Chrysotelus; the deacons Luke and Mocius; the Persian princes Abdon and Sennen; and the martyrs Olympius and Maximus. Their courage and witness remain a powerful example of faithfulness.Support the show
