HIGH SCHOOL SOFTBALL: Arrows fondly recall 'turning point' season

With more success comes more awards. That’s what the Pipestone Area Schools’ softball team learned during its season-ending awards program on Sunday, May 31, in “The Commons.” PAS junior pitcher Kaysa Douty was named to the Class AA Minnesota Fastpitch Coaches Association (MFCA) second team. Douty also earned most valuable player honors as voted on by her teammates. “We gave the ball to her,” PAS head coach Robert Petersen said. “We said ‘It’s all yours,’ and she did a great job.” Douty became an innings-eater, especially during the postseason.
