In episode sixty-one of The Running Effect, I have the great privilege of speaking with Lex and Leo Young. While I'm sure 99% of you are familiar with them, for those that aren't, Lex and Leo are two of the greatest high school distance runners in history. And they're only juniors (: Following in the footsteps of their older brother Nico, Lex and Leo run for Newbury Park High School. Newbury Park is debatably the greatest high school distance program ever. Since freshman year, Lex and Leo have completely rewritten the record books. If I were to write a list of their accomplishments I would run out of space on this post. The scary thing is that they're only juniors and have a whole nother year! In this episode, we dive-deep into their start in the sport of running, all things Newbury Park, handling pressure from the outside world, future goals, and so much more!
