LUVERNE — Several Southwest Minnesota Christian/Edgerton boys track and field performers snagged gold medals during a Tuesday, April 7 meet at Cardinal Field. Competitors braved temperatures in the low-40s (with wind chills below the freezing point). The Eagles’ Ryan Pap was tops in the 400-meter dash, clocking in at 53.77. SWC/E state qualifier Silas Van Essen captured gold in both the 100 hurdles (16.24) and 300 hurdles (41.71). Reece Gilbertson added a winning mark in the high jump at 5-feet, 4-inches.
