HIGH SCHOOL WRESTLING: Success for PAS, Marshall

Four Pipestone Area Schools’ wrestlers were named to the All-Big South Conference team. The four are multi-time state champion Miklo Hernandez, state fourth-place finisher Mason Fruechte, 121-pounder Lane Fruechte and Joannacrystal Perez-Garcia (who competes in the girls’ 100-pound class). These are performance-related results based on what these wrestlers accomplished at the Big South Conference meet conducted on Saturday, Jan. 10 at the R/A Facility in Marshall. “I am proud of all of them able to be all-conference,” PAS head coach Paul Young said in a short telephone interview with The Pipestone County Star on Monday, March 9.
