Higher Ed: KUT's Jennifer Stayton & Dr. Ed Burger On The Biases We Bring To Information And Learning

Southwestern University President Dr. Ed Burger says in a recent class some of his students assumed an unidentified quote came from a man because of its direct and forceful language. The quote, in fact, came from a women - Helen Keller. Burger also reports that when the students discovered the quote came from a well-regarded source, they felt favorably about it. Burger talks with KUT's Jennifer Stayton in this episode of the KUT podcast "Higher Ed" about the biases we bring to learning and information and how those impact the way we view and process what is in front of us.
