Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez criticized the Biden administration's decision to allow further construction of the Mexican border wall. She described the move as "cruel" and argued that walls are ineffective in deterring individuals fleeing poverty and violence from coming to the United States. AOC contended that walls merely push migrants into more remote and dangerous areas, putting their lives at risk. According to Vivek Ramaswamy's campaign, at least two protesters intentionally rammed his car in retaliation for his remarks opposing aid for Ukraine.
