Hindered Prayer From Broken Covenants (Husbands)

Our relationships with the brethren and with God are interdependent. We should not isolate ourselves to get closer to God. If we do not have good relationships with others, God cuts us off. Examples are given such as the church not caring for their widows and orphans. 1 Peter 3:7b "that your prayers may not be hindered". Not all prayers of men are heard by God. When God turns His face away from you, He does not hear your prayers. Isaiah 1:12-15. Your sin keeps God from hearing your prayers and keeps God from receiving your worship. You have access to God through prayer through the shed blood of Jesus Christ with the guidance of the Holy Spirit with evidence of righteousness. The only exception of God hearing your prayers while in your sin are prayers of confession and repentance. The marriage covenant is recognized universally and God holds covenants and vows very high. He is a covenant-loving God. If the husband is at odds with his spouse or don't honor his spouse, the husbands prayers are hindered. Believers should be willing to have their lives threatened for their coventant with God. Just as a wife should obey and do right to preserve her marriage covenant even if it endangers her life. Stop doing evil and do what is good. The penalty is a spiritual cost. Your spiritual life is intimately dependent on you relationship with those in your life. It is better to have no leadership than to have bad leadership. If a good marriage is a requirement for leadership in the church, it is a requirement for a spiritual walk. Husbands fulfill your vow; God cares.
