The muscle known as the heart is considered to be the center of physical life. It is the focus of all the vital functions of the body. However, in the figurative sense, the heart has come to be known as the center of a person’s mental (intellectual and emotional) and spiritual life. It describes the person as a whole. In biblical language, the heart is closely connected to 7 aspects that make us human beings. Taking all this into consideration, it is important for us to know the nature of the heart. The Bible clearly teaches that the heart is something that is not to be trusted. God has given to us a heart to connect with others, not to trust or hope in it.
