Som is also the president of Monroeville Rotary Club and the Monroeville Interfaith Ministerium, a group of representatives from different faiths,  including Catholics, Protestants, Jews, Muslims, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains, and Hindus. He also founded, AHINSA an Interfaith, Inter-cultural forum for Peace, Nonviolence, and Spirituality.
