About the Talk: When the angels appeared to the shepherds on the night of Jesus' birth, they announced, “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favour rests” (Luke 2:14). The king of Isaiah 9 would also be priest, mediating between God and man (as God and man), restoring peace to a relationship fractured because of sin. Thus he would reconcile man to God, bringing peace and wholeness to those who acknowledge him as Lord and trust him as Saviour. And this peace would come in costly fashion, as this priest sacrificed himself for us on the cross. Jesus remains our hope for peace - with God, with one another and with ourselves. He is the Prince of Peace.
