His Priests for the World - Audio

You and I are part of a holy nation. We don’t need physical, visible, tangible symbols, signs, or people in leadership. There needs to be no immediate substitution or representative standing in the way of Jesus. He’s our Risen, Lord and Savior. Right in our faith and practice, I’m personally glad it says under our doctrine on the Church, “Its head is Jesus Christ, who serves immediately as priest and ministers directly as teacher and prophet.” To be part of a holy nation means to not look like the rest of the world. Some nations have presidents, some have prime ministers, some have kings, some tribes had chiefs, some religious organizations spiritual high offices, the holy nation of the Kingdom of God doesn’t look like the rest of the world. You can call the President or write a letter, but we pray immediately to our Leader, though He can’t be reached by phone or e-mail. You can bet the president or any leader of any nation or organized church sleeps at times, is capable of sin, or can’t be attend to every need, but our holy nation knows a Sovereign who is ever-present, never sleeps, and is entirely pure. We’re a holy nation. A set apart nation.
