Historia de emergencia 058 - El tesoro de Hoxne

El día 16 de noviembre de 1992, Eric Lawes, un aficionado a buscar metales enterrados, recibió el encargo de su amigo Peter Whatling, un campesino del pequeño pueblo de Hoxne, en el condado de Suffolk (Inglaterra), para que buscase un viejo martillo que había perdido en el campo. Cómo sería la sorpresa de Eric cuando en esa búsqueda del viejo martillo dio con el que se conoce como tesoro de Hoxne, considerado el mayor tesoro de oro y plata de la Antigua Roma descubierto en Gran Bretaña. Este tesoro que actualmente se conserva en el Museo Británico en Londres, fue tasado por el "Treasure Valuation Committee" en 1,75 millones de Libras Esterlinas.
