Moisés Wasserman es Químico de la Universidad Nacional de Colombia, Ph.D. en Bioquímica de la Universidad Hebrea de Jerusalem y Post-Doctorado en Microbiología de la Universidad del Estado de Nueva York. Expresidente y Miembro de Número de la Academia Colombiana de Ciencias Exactas, Físicas y Naturales, miembro de la Academia Latinoamericana de Ciencias y exrector de la Universidad Nacional de Colombia. En su charla de Saberes con Sabor, el doctor Wasserman discutió las ideas predominantes relacionadas con el progreso y con su ausencia. Mencionó los principales filósofos que han aportado a su consolidación, e hizo énfasis en la relación existente entre el crecimiento del conocimiento científico, el desarrollo tecnológico y la consolidación de esa idea, extendida también al progreso social y moral.
