Marvin Gaye edita la primera versión publicada (que no grabada) de una canción de la que se han hecho muchas y célebres versiones. Los Beatles publican su muy famoso décimoctavo single. Los Byrds editan su sexto LP ‘Sweetheart of the Rodeo’ considerado el punto de partida del country-rock.
