En este capítulo los Beach Boys editan su noveno single. David Marks, miembro de los Beach Boys hasta agosto de 1963, publica su primer single a nombre de Dave & The Marksmen. Jan & Dean editan su vigésimo single con una de las canciones más conocidas del dúo. Los Reveres, parece que los dúos vocales Bruce & Terry y Jan & Dean juntos, publican un único single con ese nombre. Los Trashmen editan su segundo single con un auto-plagio del primero que ya era un plagio. En enero de 1964 los Beatles consiguieron su primer número uno en EEUU. El 9 de febrero aparecieron en televisión en el Ed Sullivan Show y arrasaron. Una semana después aparece el cuarto single de Gary Usher con un tema que, “casualmente”, se llama ‘The Beetle’. The Rhythm Rockers, un grupo instrumental de Los Ángeles, publican el LP ‘Soul Surfin’. Thom Starr & The Galaxies, grupo instrumental de la escuela surf de South Bay, realizan grabaciones que quedaron inéditas. Los Travelers, un grupo instrumental de Tucson, Arizona, editan su segundo single. Kenny & The Fiends, un oscuro grupo instrumental parece que de California, publican su tercer single. Los Rondels, un grupo instrumental probablemente de Boston, editan su único single. The Astronauts, el grupo instrumental y vocal de Colorado, publican cuarto single.
