Historic Tiner-Hendrick House gets a new home

from Wilson County News

The Tiner-Hendrick House, a historic home in the Sutherland Springs area, has a new home! On Friday, May 29, the house made its way from the field in front of the old oak tree at its old location to its new place to stand, on F.M. 539 near the Polley Mansion, also known as Whitehall. It is appropriate that the house stands here, because Connie Findley Tiner was the granddaughter of Joseph Henry Polley and Mary Bailey Polley and spent some of her childhood in the Polley Mansion after her father was killed in the Civil War.
