Historical films & shows is accuracy important

Welcome to this weeks podcast where we are discussing historical / period TV shows / movies and if accuracy is important. Does our perception of history get warped by what we see on TV when something claims to be 'true to the period' or even when they are not and using modern casting methods (blind etc) for all roles... can that impact how shows or movies seem to a young audience?
