🎓 Christoph Burgmer (audio-archiv.com) im Gespräch mit Muhammad Salim Abdullah. (1931-2016). Muhammad Salim Abdullah, bosnisch-deutscher Journalist  leitete das Zentralinstitut Islam-Archiv in Soest. Er war maßgeblich an der Erstellung islamischen Religionsunterrichts in Deutschland beteiligt, war Mitglied des Islamischen Weltkongresses, Herausgeber einer Zeitschrift über islamisches Leben in Deutschland und Mitherausgeber einer Koranübersetzung zusammen mit Theodor Adel Khoury. Muhammad Salim Abdullah setzte sich für das Zusammenleben von Christen und Muslimen in einem demokratischen Deutschland ein und stand dafür auf der Todesliste islamischer Islamisten. Er und seine Familie lebten jahrelang unter Polizeischutz. In seinen Veröffentlichungen beschäftigte sich Muhammd Salim Abdullah neben religiösen Themen vor allem mit der Geschichte des Islam in Deutschland. Das Gespräch wurde Anfang der 90er Jahre des vergangenen Jahrhunderts aufgezeichnet. /🎓 Christoph Burgmer in conversation with Muhammad Salim Abdullah (1931-2016). Muhammad Salim Abdullah, Bosnian-German journalist, was head of the Central Institute Islam Archive in Soest. He was significantly involved in the creation of Islamic religious education in Germany, was a member of the Islamic World Congress, editor of a magazine about Islamic life in Germany and co-editor of a translation of the Koran together with Theodor Adel Khoury. Muhammad Salim Abdullah campaigned for the coexistence of Christians and Muslims in a democratic Germany and was on the death list of Islamic Islamists for this. He and his family lived for years under police protection. In his publications, Muhammad Salim Abdullah focussed on religious topics as well as the history of Islam in Germany.
