History of Metal-1986 - Best metal songs of all time? Hair Nation vs Thrash, Van Hagar vs DLR. Is the British Invasion Over?

On this week’s episode we dissect the metal landscape in 1986. This is the most ground breaking year in the 80s metal explosion. The biggest divorce in rock history plays out in front of our naked steaming eyes as VAN HAGAR AND DAVID LEE ROTH release post breakup debut albums. The Hair Nation scene is at the top of the charts with BON JOVI, CINDERELLA, POISON and EUROPE all over the metal mags and MTV. The thrash and underground scenes are becoming mainstream with METALLICA, SLAYER, MEGADETH and METAL CHURCH taking their spot at the metal table. American young guns are making a dent as QUEENSRYCHE, TESLA, STRYPER and WASP are quickly gaining a following. The British Invasion  acts are changing their image as JUDAS PRIEST, IRON MAIDEN, OZZY OZBOURNE and BLACK SABBATH are trying to keep their hold at the top.
