History of Muslims is not that different from Jews

from Meraj’s Newsletter Podcast · host Meraj Sirajuddin

History of Muslims is not that different from Jews. Muhammed (ﷺ) said"Abdullah bin ‘Amar al-‘Aas reported Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: “My people (Ummah) will undergo and experience all those conditions which were suffered by the children of Israel in a manner of resemblance in which a shoe of pair resembles the other shoe.”(Tirmidhi)The First battleThe very first war that Jews fought was “Battle of Jericho” under the leadership of Talut and Muslims first battle was “Battle of Badr” fought under the leadership of Prophet Muhammed SAW. Jushua A.S fought against Jalut he only had 313 Israelites out of 4 hundred thousand who initially came out with him. [2A] and so in Battle of Badar 313 Sahaba fought with Muhammed SAW. That's why when some people met Mullah Omar back in 2006 or so they said to him " You lost Power, you lost your supporters?" Mullah Omar replied "No I did not loose "SUPPORTERS" this was herd and crowd. They gone when we were gone. Just like sheep when we (Taliban) come to power they will get behind us just like they did before"إِنَّ إِبْرَاهِيمَ كَانَ أُمَّةً قَانِتًا لِّلَّهِ حَنِيفًا وَلَمْ يَكُ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ"{“Indeed, Ibrahim was a nation unto himself…”} [an-Nahl; 120]And how often is one man equal to a thousand * And how often are a thousand men equal to none…”[‘Fi Dhilal Surat at-Tawbah’; p. 50-54]First Rise of JewsJewish first rise was under the leadership of Talut, David and Solomon (A.S) later two were Prophets and all 3 of them were Kings as well. After the death of Solomon A.S however, ten of the Tribes of Israel refuse to accept the new king Rehoboam as king, splitting the United Monarchy in the northern Kingdom of Israel under Jeroboam, while Rehoboam continues to reign over the much smaller southern Kingdom of Judah.. Jewish rise did not start right after Passover when Israelites escape the Pharoahs persecution, because they refuse to fight the Goliath under Moses A.S.MuslimsMuslims’ first rise was right when Muhammed SAW migrated to Medina and just like Jews, Muslims also had four leaders known as Khulafa and they are Abu Bakr, Umar, Othman R.A and Ali R.A.Just like among Jews after the death of Solomon they were divided in two groups, same thing happen among Muslims. After the death of third Caliph Usman R.A Muslims split into two groups one of Muawiya R.A and other of Ali R.A, but the slight difference is Khilafah remain one and Muawaiya R.A only claim to be Khalifah after the martyrdom of Ali R.A.First Decline/FallAfter the death of Solomon A.S however Jewish first decline started to happen. Moral decline, spiritual decline, corruption, immorality occurred among them. Then Assyrians attack and destroy Northern Israel Kingdom, but the Southern Kingdom remained with their its moral, spiritual decline. Around 600 BC Nebuchadnezzar attacked Southern Kingdom and destroyed Jerusalem and killed six hundred thousand Jews and took six hundred thousand as captives to Babylonia and they remain there for 100 plus years.MuslimsDecline of Islam started after Muslims were divided into two camps after the death of Othman R.A and it continue, but the rise of Muslim as a community continue and they establish great kingdoms like Mughal Empire in India, Ummayyad dynasty in Al andalus (Spain) Abbasid Empire in Iraq, however the moral decline, corrupt practices, and partial practice of Islam pick and choose and mixing of Islam with non-islamic cultural practices, consumption of Alcohol, culture of fornication reached highest level and that’s when the first destruction took place from Crusaders in 11th century and they have killed Millions of Muslims in Middle east and took Jerusalem from Muslims.Second RiseRise of the Persians in 536 B.C. under the leadership of Cyrus attacked Babylonian kingdom and freed Jews and help them financially and at the same time Propeht Uzair A.S call them to repent and this started the second rise of Jewish kingdom. They established second kingdom which was even greater than Solomon’s in some ways.MuslimsSecond rise of Muslims took place not with Arabs but with Kurds, it was Salahuddin Ayubi who defeated crusaders and took back Jerusalem. Note Jews were one race, so the renaissance movement was started within that race, but Muslims are multi racial, multi cultural, multi lingual community, so second rise took place through Kurds, Arabs lost Jerusalem and Kurds took it back. This is what Allah describe in the Quran “…..And if you turn away, He will replace you with another people; then they will not be the likes of you.” 47:38Second DeclineSamething happen, moral decline, corruption, partial practice of religion etc. Again destruction this time from Roman Empire Titus Roman II destroyed Jerusalem; he killed 133,000 and expels remaining 150,000.MuslimsMoral decline, corrupt practices, and partial practice of Islam pick and choose and mixing of Islam with non-islamic cultural practices, consumption of Alcohol, culture of fornication, this is the time when Mongols attacked Baghdad and Millions of Muslims were massacred and the Khalifa (ruler) of Muslims in Baghdad Mustasim Billah was rolled in Carpet and Mongols ran their horses over him while he was alive. Then Mongols became Muslims, this happen for the first time ever in history where a conquerer people embrace the culture and religion of conquered Nation.Third RiseZionism which is purely secular movement based on Jewish identity. In 1882 Rabbi Zevi Hirsch was first suggested that the redemption of Zion would have to begin with action on the part of the Jewish people; the messianic miracle would then follow. He frequently had to defend these views against rabbinic opponents in both Europe and Eretz¬ Israel who insisted that the Jewish people would have to wait for the Messiah without taking any action to hasten its deliverance. His volume Derishat Tziyon ve¬ Hevrat Erez Noshevet (1862) was in effect the first Hebrew book to appear in eastern Europe on the subject of modern Jewish agricultural settlement in Eretz¬ Israel. In the 19th century, the first world Zionism conference was to be held in Frankfurt Germany, but due to intense pressure from local Jews, bankers had to move the conference to Basel, Switzerland, prompting Theodre Herlz (Head of Zionism) to state, “It is essential that the sufferings of Jews….become worse….this will assist in realization of our plans….I have an excellent idea….I shall induce anti-Semites to liquidate Jewish wealth….The anti-Semites will assist us thereby in that they will strengthen the persecution and oppression of Jews. The anti-Semites shall be our best friends.” and we know those Jews who were opposing zionist ended up in gas chambers, Muslims living in the west, benefiting from status quo today are like those jews who were opposing Zionism back then.MuslimsSimilarly in Islam an upward Movement started in early 20th Century which was purely based on educated elite of Muslims community like in Arab World Ikhwanul Muslimoun (Muslim Brotherhood) Jamaat E Islami in India, Sanusi Movement in North Africa, what these parties achieve was that they awaken the educated masses and give them the sense of Muslim brotherhood and revived the concept of Khilafah, but they choose the Democratic process of bringing change which they fail to materialize. So the flag of renaissance moved from these parties to other Fundamentalist movements like AL-Qaeda, Taliban, Alshabaab, Jabhat Nusra and Muslim youth are gravitated towards them Just like Jewish Haganah which later on become the core of IDF. Muslim youth see it as only alternative to restore Khilafah and Islam as socio, politico, Economic and Justice system where poor and rich will have same law and everyones rights are guaranteed including non-Muslims.ConclusionWith each day passes, the ritualistic Passive Muslim Maulvis who only follow the rituals of Islam and disregard the Politico, Socio, Economic and Justice aspects of Islam will become irrelevant, just like the traditional Rabbis and more Fundamentalist Muslim Scholars and Imam will lead the way and youth will be with them. If we try to analyze the present world today we find that the battle among three Abrahamic faith Jews, Christians, and Muslims is centered around one place Jerusalem and one figure and that is Jesus A.S. Jews refuse to believe in him as their Promised Messiah, so they are still waiting for him and belive that he will come when they rebuilt temple mount in Jerusalem.Christians and Muslims believe that Jesus will come back in end times, but the difference is Muslims believe, jesus will establish Global Khilafah while Christians believe Jesus will establish heavenly kingdom. We Muslims are the followers of Prophet Muhammed (ﷺ) who when passed away had 9 swords hanging on the wall at his house, but did not even had Oil to light lantern which many centuries later would Inspire Golda Meir the first and only Jewish women Prime Minister of Israel [3]This is something not talk about by the Imams, Scholars in our times who preach Passive, ritualistic, submissive Islam to masses.Takbir.
