Growing up in Vallejo's Hillside neighborhood, B-Legit talks about his early days being influenced by the D-Boy culture of the 80s while also discovering hip-hop. While attending Grambling University for a year with E-40, they started rapping and decided to come back to Vallejo and form a group. From there, they created Sick Wid It Records and innovated business strategies to take independent rap music to the next level. This led to a deal with Jive Records and B-Legit has been a fixture in rap music ever since.
