Hit the lights: Ocean City gears up for 71st annual Night in Venice boat parade

"Stars, Stripes and Christmas Lights" is the theme of Ocean City's 71st annual boat parade, known as the Night in Venice. The family tradition takes place on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. along the bay from the Ocean City-Longport Bridge to Tennessee Avenue. Thousands are expected to turn out to celebrate America's 250th birthday and Christmas in July. The Grand Marshals are Phillies legend John Kruk and actor Randy Quaid, who played Cousin Eddie in the movie "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation."
