Health HIV recently issued a press release on the 5th Annual National Survey of the state of HIV care in America. The survey discusses the barriers addressing ending the #HIV epidemic such as housing, burned out social workers, PrEP education, treatment priorities among other issues that affect #socialworkers in general. I shares his thoughts on the survey. I currently works in an outpatient HIV clinic providing social work services to adults living with HIV. I describe working with undocumented population who are newly diagnosed with HIV on top of that many having to struggle living with trauma arriving in the U.S. during the Covid pandemic.
