Top African economist Professor Mthuli Ncube has taken on a new role to lead the HIV finance research at the Blavatnik School of Government in Oxford, in the UK. An expert in finance and sustainable economic development, Ncube will be the School's Principal Investigator for the pioneering research project RethinkHIV. This project will try to understand the fiscal liabilities associated with the disease, and come up with sustainable funding strategies to manage the epidemic among other things.
