Logró un éxito muy grande cuando grabó la canción Madrigal del compositor puertorriqueño, Felipe Rosario Goyco, conocido en el ámbito artístico como Don Felo, de quién se dice que compuso más de 200 canciones. La carrera artística de Danny Rivera está llena de grandes logros, con sus 80 años cumplidos ha grabado alrededor de 150 discos, en diferentes formatos, además de innumerables giras, conciertos y participaciones con otros artistas. Ha realizado una intensa labor social en pro de la paz y la libertad y sus canciones abarcan diferentes géneros musicales.
