I sincerely hope that you and your families are doing super well, enjoying great health and well-being. I chose this song because of the week's theme. I think it's very fresh and reminds me of my school days. I think the romanticism of those times has changed, when love was more in-person. Nowadays, love is conveyed through a screen, and we must adapt to the times. However, I think that the relationships of yesteryear were more authentic and beautiful. A sweet and catchy hit! The song "Dulces Besos" (1982) is an excellent example of the sound that took Menudo to the height of stardom in Latin America and beyond. The song is a perfect pop piece, with a simple structure and an extremely catchy chorus that sticks in your head from the first listen. The lyrics: The lyrics, written by composers Julio Seijas and Carlos Villa, perfectly capture the teenage angst of first love. It tells the story of a young man who can't concentrate on school or anything else because all he's thinking about is his crush. The lines "I'm tired of studying and I can't even think" and "I painted a heart on the tree in the garden" resonate with anyone who's ever felt those butterflies in their stomach. The music: The instrumentation is typically '80s, with a danceable beat, synthesizers, and a cheerful and upbeat melody. The chorus, "Dulces besos caramelo, dulce besos y tu pelo," is simple but effective, and became a rallying cry for millions of fans. The connection with the audience: Beyond the musical quality, the true success of "Dulces Besos" lies in its ability to connect emotionally with its audience. The song wasn't just a hit; it became the soundtrack to a generation's youth. It's a song that perfectly represents the innocence, optimism, and excitement of adolescence. Lyrics: I can't concentrate at school anymore I can't stand the teacher anymore And the classes seem endless Even my legs fall asleep I'm tired of studying And I can't even think Because all my thoughts are for you You've owned my feelings ever since I saw you My family has noticed something strange about me And my friends laugh at me I wonder what happened I'm dying to be by your side I've painted a heart On the tree in the garden And your name is in my Latin book You watch me from my notebooks What will become of me? Sweet kisses, caramel Sweet kisses and your hair Sweet kisses for dreaming Sweet kisses, caramel Sweet kisses and your hair Sweet kisses for dreaming I've wanted to lose sight of you To feel a little older And when I think of your brown face My sadness dies of sorrow I'm still the same, not studying Remembering nonstop That beautiful kiss I gave you I think I'll call you tomorrow I want to be happy Sweet kisses, caramel Sweet kisses and your hair Sweet kisses for dreaming Sweet kisses, caramel Sweet kisses and your hair Sweet kisses for dreaming Sweet kisses, caramel Sweet kisses and your hair Source I appreciate the great support of @sayury for participating in the video with her instrument and choir, accompanied by @barbyjr, as well as @orlandobello on percussion, and for editing and publishing the post @barbyjr.
