At first, when I saw the topic of the week was waves, I didn't know what exactly to play as I don't have a great vocabulary of music but thankfully we are in the 21st century, where we can easily search for music based on its titles. I was able to go through different songs with the title waves on spotify and I got one that caught my attention: Waves By Mr Probz. The lyrics was somehow familiar and relate to man slowly losing his love for someone. This is very similar to meeting someone, having a crush on them, and you guys start talking very often, and gradually you slowly drift away. The communication stops and you guys end up being like strangers. This is not limited to love relationship alone, even friendships starts like this and you both slowly drift away. Here is the link to listen to the song on spotify: The song lyrics: My face above the water My feet can't touch the ground Touch the ground, and it feels like I can see the sands on the horizon everytime (everytime) You are not around I'm slowly drifting away (drifting away) Wave after wave Wave after wave I'm slowly drifting (drifting away) And it feels like I'm drowning Pulling against the stream Pulling against the stream I wish I could make it easy Easy to love me Love me But still I reach, to find a way I'm stuck here in between I'm looking for the right words to say (to say) I'm slowly drifting, drifting away Wave after wave Wave after wave I'm slowly drifting (drifting away) And it feels like I'm drowning Pulling against the stream Pulling against the stream
