Hobnail Drama & Palmetto Pain: Week 3's Chaos, Coaching Axes, and Overtime Classics

Week 3 slapped—and we're here for every wild second of it. Brien and AV unpack the most complete Saturday of the season: Georgia–Tennessee turns into a heavyweight overtime brawl (and why Dawg fans should blame the defense, not Mike Bobo), Miami big-brothers USF on the CW with a trench clinic, and Texas A&M stuns Notre Dame in South Bend with a last-gasp dagger (plus the PAT fiasco that set it up). We hit the brakes in Baton Rouge, too: LSU outlasts Florida in a 20–10 rock fight—what the score hides, why Napier needs to drop play-calling, and the tweak LSU must make (more Caden Durham, now) if they want real playoff juice. Then it gets spicier: two September pink slips (Virginia Tech and UCLA) and the bold names Brien would hire today—Pat Fitzgerald or Jimbo Fisher in Blacksburg, Ben Arbuckle back to the West Coast in Westwood—and why firing before Game 5 is portal Russian roulette. Plus: Reality checks: Are Miami, LSU, and A&M actually "for real" or just stacking pretty records? Palmetto Pain: South Carolina and Clemson both fall to unranked teams. Ouch. QB Stock Watch: Joey Aguilar is a dude, Marcel Reed is electric (even under 50% completions), and why Notre Dame's path isn't dead—but the margin is. Game Balls: Ahmad Hardy detonates for 250 on the ground; Ole Miss backup Trinidad Chambliss goes full video-game mode. Complete BS Top 25: Ohio State still No. 1; Miami, Oregon, Penn State, LSU pile up behind—seven of the top ten hit bye weeks next. Friday Preview Tease: Texas Tech–Utah (should've been Gameday), Auburn–Oklahoma, and Illinois–Indiana—ranked vs. ranked across the board. Tap in, Couch Coach Nation—this one's fast, loud, and unfiltered.
