De Verenigde Staten willen al een tijdje dat Tiktok niet meer in Chinese handen is, om de Amerikaanse gegevens te beschermen en propaganda terug te dringen. Joe Biden, de vorige president, vaardigde daarom een wet uit die eigenaar Bytedance dwong om het deel in de VS te verkopen. Trump voert die wet nu uit, maar hij draait het helemaal in zijn voordeel door een aantal mensen uit zijn conservatieve kring eigenaar te maken. Waarom wil hij dat?
